During the first face-to-face meeting between US President Joe Biden and Narendra Modi, Biden said he had long believed the US Relationship can help solve many problems.

Before the meeting, Biden went on Twitter and said, “This morning I am inviting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a bilateral meeting at the White House. I look forward to strengthening the deep ties between our two nations and working to open a free and the Indo-Pacific and address everything from COVID-19 to climate change. “

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet US President Joe Biden in Washington DC on Friday. This will be the first face-to-face meeting between the two world leaders after Joe Biden assumed the office of US President in January this year.

PM Modi and President Biden are expected to expand the scope of India-US relations and discuss areas of common interest. The two heads of state and government will review bilateral trade and investment relations between the two countries.

PM MODI MEETS US VP KAMALA HARRIS

Prior to the bilateral meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with US Vice President Kamala Harris and congratulated her on her election to office. PM Modi also invited the US Vice President to visit India soon.

Prime Minister Modi described India and America as “natural partners” and during the meeting the two leaders decided to further cement the strategic partnership between India and the US and discussed global issues of common concern, including threats to democracy, Afghanistan and the Indo-Pacific.

“India and America are natural partners. We have similar values, similar geopolitical interests,” said Prime Minister Modi during a joint media appearance with Kamala Harris, the first person of Indian origin to be elected Vice President of the United States.
