Hindus and Muslims share ancestry, shall remain as one nation: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat

Rashtriya chief Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Mohan Bhagwat said on Monday that Hindus and Muslims are of the same parentage, but those with bad intentions like to insist that Indians are not one people but “separate”.

“Hindus and Muslims in India have common ancestors. For us, the word Hindu is synonymous with the rich heritage that our motherland, our ancestors and culture have brought us, and in this context every Indian is Hindu to us, ”said Mohan Bhagwat at a seminar held by the Pune-based resident Global Strategic Policy was organized foundation.

Bhagwat explained the philosophy of the right-wing team: “Those who want to break the nation are trying to say that we are not one but that we are separate. You shouldn’t fall victim to that. We are one nation. We will stay united as a nation. That’s what we think at RSS, and I’m here to convey this to you. “

He went on to say that “healthy” Muslim leaders should stand firm against fundamentalists and stressed that Muslims in India need not live in fear as Hindus are not hostile to anyone.

“Islam came to India with invaders. This is history and should be told that way. Healthy Muslim leaders should oppose unnecessary problems and stand firmly against fundamentalists and hardliners in our society, ”he said.

The RSS chief added that India should be a global superpower or “Vishwaguru” as Indians have always sought the good of all. All should work together for the comprehensive development of India, he said during the seminar entitled “Nation First, Nation Supreme”.

“In accordance with our culture, which accepts all different opinions, we assure that other beliefs are not disregarded, but for that we have to make sure that we think of the dominance of India and not that of a particular belief like Islam.” Coming together and being together is inevitable for prosperous India, for the progress of the motherland, ”he said.

The Governor of Kerala, Arif Mohammad Khan, and Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain (retired), Chancellor of the Central University of Kashmir, were among other prominent speakers at the event.

Arif Mohammad Khan said more diversity leads to a prosperous society, adding, “Indian culture regards everyone as equal.”

Sayyad Ata Hasnain said Pakistan has been promoting terrorism in India since its defeat in the 1971 war. After a brief pause, efforts should be rekindled. It is the responsibility of India’s Muslim intelligentsia to oppose Pakistan’s efforts, he said.
