Arshdeep teamed up with senior partner Mohammed Shami when the duo picked up 8 wickets to keep Rajasthan royals down to 185 in 20 overs. Rajasthan looked good to go over 200 overall as they hit 164 for 4 in 16 overs, but they only managed 21 runs in the last 4 overs.
Arshdeep gets big guns to dent royals
Arshdeep, who has become one of the mainstays for Punjab Kings in the IPL, made the crucial breakthroughs for PBKS on Tuesday. The pacemaker with the left arm got the big wicket from Evin Lewis in power play, even though the West Indies star consistently hit her in the stands.
He then returned for a second spell and got Liam Livingstone when the English batsman was just starting to open his shoulders.
Arshdeep then removed Mahipal Lomror, who hit 43 of just 17 balls on Tuesday. The big wicket in the 18th round shifted momentum in favor of Punjab, who pulled things back wonderfully after death.
Arshdeep took 2 wickets in as many balls in the final over and removed Chetan Sakariya and Kartik Tyagi to ensure the royals were kicked out of the tournament.
