Police said three men were on trial for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl in Gunga village in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal.

A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three men who also filmed the incident with a cell phone in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal, police said.
The incident occurred on September 12 in the village of Gunga, Bhopal. The victim, a grade 10 student, lives in Sanchi in the Raisen district.
The police said that the three defendants at the “Mahila Police Station” in Raisen District had been reported to have been gang rape under relevant sections of the IPC and the Child Protection from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO).
The three defendants are still to be arrested, the police said.
The case diary related to the incident was sent to Gunga Police Station in Bhopal, where the incident occurred, police said.
The victim said in her complaint that the three defendants came to collect a religious donation on September 12 when she was alone at her sister’s house in the Gunga area on September 12, police said. She had gone to Gunga to take care of her sick sister.
According to police, the victim claimed to be able to identify one of the defendants who lived nearby. She said while the two defendants took turns raping her, the third defendant filmed the entire act.
The trio then threatened to post the video on social media if the victim dared to file a complaint, police said.
The girl told her father about her ordeal after she returned to Raisen. Her father then took her to the Sanchi Police Station, from where she was referred to the “Mahila Police Station” in Raisen, where a gangrape case against the trio was recorded.
No arrests have been made in connection with the case and the police are investigating the matter further.
