Neeraj revealed the puppy’s name as “Tokyo” on his social media post when he thanked Bindra and his family for welcoming him.
Neeraj Chopra joined Abhinav Bindra as India’s second Olympic gold medalist when he won the 2020 javelin final in Tokyo on August 7th.
“My break started with a wonderful afternoon with @abhinav_bindra Sir and his family. I was able to present my medal to his older sibling from Beijing and also enjoyed the warm hospitality of the Bindra family.

Neeraj made history in August by becoming the first Indian to win a gold medal in athletics at the Tokyo Olympics. The 23-year-old from Panipat threw 87.58 m and left the rest of the field by a large margin to win the historic medal.
Neeraj was welcomed as a hero and became the nation’s toast when he returned home from the Japanese capital. He was congratulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian Army. In fact, a sports complex in Pune was named after the Javelin star at a ceremony presided over by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
Neeraj has been a hot commodity since the Tokyo Olympics as the javelin thrower ended its 2021 season early. Having already started training for future tournaments, Neeraj basks in the euphoria that surrounds him in the country.
