PM Modi arrives in US on 3-day visit, to meet VP Kamala Harris today


Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the United States early Thursday morning. During his three-day visit, Prime Minister Modi will attend the QUAD Leaders Summit and hold bilateral talks with US President Joe Biden.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Washington DC early Thursday morning for his three-day visit to the United States. PM Modi landed at Joint Base Andrews Air Force Base in Washington DC at 3:30 a.m. (IST) Thursday.

PM Modi was received by Indians living in the USA, who greeted him with the Indian flag.

From the airbase, PM Modi’s arcade will go to the Willard Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue.

This is Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to the United States in two years that also saw regime change in the country. PM Modi will have the first face-to-face bilateral talks with President Joe Biden at the White House on Friday, followed by the Quad Leaders Summit.

On Thursday, PM Modi will meet the CEOs of five major companies – Qualcomm, Adobe, First Solar, General Atomics and Blackstone. He will then meet Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison at the Willard Hotel around 11 p.m. (IST).

Thereafter, PM Modi will head to the Eisenhower Executive Office Building at around 12:30 p.m. (IST) to meet US Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Prime Minister will then address the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on Saturday. During his visit to New York, PM Modi will be staying at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel in Manhattan.
