While offering prayers for Nitish Kumar in Ajmer Sharif on Sunday, Janata Dal (United) leader Jama Khan said that the Prime Minister of Bihar should be the next Prime Minister of India. The JD (U) is part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the center.
Jama Khan, Minister for Minority Welfare in Bihar’s government, is visiting Rajasthan’s Ajmer Sharif, where he prayed for Nitish Kumar as the country’s next Prime Minister.
“It is the voice of the whole country that Nitish Kumar (should be the next Prime Minister). I prayed to Khwaja Garib Nawaz today that Nitish Kumar should transfer the reins not only in Bihar but across the country so that there may be peace and brotherhood throughout the country, ”said the Bihar Welfare Minister.

Meanwhile, Jama Khan is not the first JD (U) leader to announce Nitish Kumar as a potential prime minister. Previously, senior party leader KC Tyagi and Upendra Kushwaha, chairman of the JD (U) parliamentary bureau, said the Bihar CM was “prime ministerial material”.

After last month’s JD (U) National Council meeting, KC Tyagi had said: “Nitish Kumar is not the candidate for prime minister. He is not in the running for prime ministerial office in 2024. Our NDA leader is Narendra Modi. But Nitish Kumar has all the qualities one should have to become prime minister. “
Upendra Kushwaha, on the other hand, had said:, “In this day and age, aside from PM modes, a lot of people are PM material and Nitish Kumar is one of them.”
In response to the claims of his party colleagues, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had said, “There is no such thing. Why should I be (a PM material)? I don’t care about any of these things.”
