The decision of Congress to convene the Legislature Meeting is in the midst of the incessant fighting within the Party’s Punjab camp between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
Saturday’s CLP will take place two days after 40 disgruntled MLAs from the Navjot Singh Sidhu Brigade launched a new attack against the Punjab CM. The MLAs supposedly wrote a letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhiwho accused them of neglecting and victimizing officials close to them.
Sources said Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh, on the other hand, is ready to deal with the rival camp and will not give him a chance to question the functioning of his government.
