The first personal Leaders’ Summit of the Quad took place on Friday at the White House in the United States. Japan has pledged to continue helping its regional partners purchase vaccines through a $ 3.3 billion Covid-19 Rapid Response Emergency Loan. Australia will provide $ 212 million in vaccine purchase grants for Southeast Asia and the Pacific. The country will also allocate $ 219 million to help launch vaccines on the last mile.
FIGHTING THE CLIMATE CRISIS

The Quad nations have initiated a new “Quad Infrastructure Partnership”. They have decided to meet regularly in order to coordinate their efforts, determine the infrastructure needs of the region and agree on regional infrastructure possibilities.
The Thjeir Declaration stated: “We will work together to provide technical assistance, provide regional partners with assessment tools and promote sustainable infrastructure development.
EXCEPTIONAL COOPERATION
In space, the Quad countries plan to identify new collaborative opportunities and share satellite data for peaceful purposes such as climate change monitoring, disaster relief and preparedness, sustainable use of oceans and marine resources, and responding to challenges in common areas.
The countries will also discuss rules, standards, guidelines and principles for ensuring the sustainable use of space.
EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES
The Quad nations have planned to promote the use of secure and transparent 5G and beyond 5G networks.
“Recognizing the role of governments in promoting an enabling environment for 5G diversification, we will work together to facilitate public-private collaboration and demonstrate the scalability and cybersecurity of open, standards-based technology in 2022,” they said.
The Quad executives also adopted the Quad principles of technology design, development, leadership and use to guide the region and the world towards responsible, open and highly standardized innovation.
IN AFGHANISTAN
The four countries have decided to closely coordinate their diplomacy, economic and human rights policies Towards Afghanistan.
“We reaffirm that Afghan territory should not be used to threaten or attack any country, host or train terrorists, or plan or finance acts of terrorism, and reaffirm the importance of counterterrorism in Afghanistan.
