Former Union Minister Babul Supriyo, the attended the Trinamool Congress last week, met the Prime Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, on Monday.
Asansol MP Babul Supriyo visited the Nabanna State Secretariat to meet Mamata Banerjee.
After the meeting, Supriyo said, “I am very happy to meet you. The affection and warmth with which she welcomed me into the TMC family … She asked me to work with all my heart and sing with all my heart, which I think is the icing on the cake. She said ‘Pujor samayo tumi gaan karo’. “
This was his first meeting with the TMC chief after joining TMC last week, a month after giving up active politics.
“We had a very musical conversation, at the same time everything she said was really music to my ears. I want Didi. to thank [Mamata Banerjee] and Abhishek for welcoming me so lovingly and warmly into the TMC family, ”said Babul Supriyo after the meeting.
Babul Supriyo thanked Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee for their warm welcome.
Babul Supriyo said he had spoken to Mamata Banerjee about many topics that he did not want to reveal for the time being.
Meanwhile, Babul Supriyo said that the TMC boss is one of the frontrunners for the office of prime minister in 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
“I want our party’s captain, Mamata Banerjee, to become prime minister in 2024. The opposition plays an important role in a democratic system. Nobody can deny that Mamata Banerjee is one of the frontrunners in the post of prime minister.” Babul Supriyo was quoted by ANI.
