Union Interior Minister Amit Shah, who is on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, inaugurated a new campus at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) -Jammu on Sunday.
The Interior Minister arrived on the second day of his visit to the Union Territory in Jammu to inaugurate the new campus at IIT-Jammu and also to lay the foundation for various development projects.
He will also meet MPs, MLAs and senior BJP leaders later in the day, ANI news agency reported.
Amit Shah is represented by the Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Dr. Jitendra Singh and JK Lt. Accompanied Governor Manoj Sinha.
On Twitter, Dharmendra Pradhan said Amit Shah dedicated Phase 1A and 1B of the IIT Jammu and Saptarshi permanent campus, a multidisciplinary research center.

The union minister also laid the foundation stone for the construction of the final Phase 1C of the permanent campus.
Phase 1A and 1B of IIT Jammu were developed at a total cost of Rs 210 crore. Phase 1C is estimated to have a total cost of over Rs 700.19 crore, ”Pradhan tweeted.
