On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the G20 summit in Italian Rome. When the heads of state and government of the world’s twenty largest economies met in person for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic, the agenda included climate change, economic recovery, the pandemic and the global minimum tax rate for companies.
World leaders were joined by frontline health workers for a “family photo” at the Roma Convention Center in Rome.

WHAT HAPPENS AT G20 ON SATURDAY
The opening session on Saturday focused on global health and the economy, with a meeting on the sidelines between US President Joe Biden, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to discuss Iran’s nuclear program .
Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi called for greater efforts to provide vaccines to poorer countries in the world. He stressed that 70 percent of people in the rich countries are vaccinated, but only 3 percent in the poorest countries
He added, “The more we face all of our challenges, the more it becomes clear that multilateralism is the best answer to the problems we face today.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other world leaders also attended a session at the summit entitled “Global Economy and Global Health (Working Lunch)”.
