Narcotics Control Bureau zone director Sameer Wankhede said Nawab Malik’s letter was a joke and a lie. Sameer Wankhede added that Nawab Malik can do whatever he wants, “the content of the letter is completely wrong”.
“These are all lies and jokes. Leave him [Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik] do what he can. These are all fabricated [charges]“Said Sameer Wankhede in response to allegations made by the senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party.
At a press conference, Nawab Malik said: “Sameer Wankhede has requested the CDR (Call Detail Record) from my daughter Nilofer. However, the Mumbai police refused to provide them. I have information that Sameer Wankhede intercepts calls through two private individuals. My phones were also bugged. Wankhede is tapping the phones of top celebrities, including Bollywood celebrities. “
The NCP leader also alleged that he had received a letter from an unnamed NCB official containing 36 fraudulent cases by the authority. Malik said some of the cases mentioned in the letter involve Bollywood celebrities.

“I forwarded the letter to the Chief Minister, DG and others. There are 36 fraudulent cases mentioned and these should be investigated. The Mumbai Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Department should investigate this. “Said Nawab Malik.
“The way things are mentioned in the anonymous letter is related to internal affairs, so there is a possibility of believing that it is real. I am not saying that they will be punished immediately, but that should be on everyone Case, “said Nawab Malik.
