On Thursday, Ananya Panday was summoned by the NCB for questioning on the Mumbai drug case and Shah Rukh Khan was visiting his son Aryan at Arthur Road Jail.
A new high profile name was added on Thursday Drug case on cruise in Mumbai where Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan was arrested on October 3rd. Actress Ananya Panday, 22, was summoned to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Mumbai for questioning.
But that’s not all that happened on Thursday in the case. Earlier in the day, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan visited his son for the first time since his arrest at Arthur Road Jail. NCB officials also visited Aryan Khan and Ananya Panday’s homes in Mumbai that morning.
Here are the latest BIG updates in the case:
1. ANANYA PANDAY INTERVIEWED IN THE NCB OFFICE
Bollywood actress Ananya Panday, daughter of Chunky Panday, was summoned for questioning as part of the NCB investigation into the cruise ship drug case in Mumbai. She was subpoenaed based on chats found on Aryan Khan’s phone.
Ananya Panday reached the NCB office for questioning at 4 p.m. and started at 6:20 p.m. The NCB has confiscated her laptop and mobile phone.
2. ANANYA PANDAY WILL RELEASE ON FRIDAY
The NCB is not ready yet Interview with Ananya Panday. She was asked to come back to the NCB office at 11 a.m. on Friday.
However, the NCB has made it clear that someone called for questioning does not mean that they are accused in the case. She could just be a witness.
3. COURT EXTENDS THE COURT OF SUPPLY FOR ARYAN UNTIL OCTOBER 30
There is now a special NDPS court in Mumbai extended Aryan Khan’s pre-trial detention and the seven others arrested with him on October 30th. The defendants were not brought before the court, either physically or via video conference.
Earlier, Aryan Khan and the others were sent to a 14-day pre-trial detention center on October 7th.
4. SRK VISITS ARYAN IN PRISON
In another big update Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan met his son Aryan for the first time since his arrest on October 3 at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.
It did so after the prison authorities changed their rules on Wednesday evening to allow inmates’ family members to visit in person. Because of the pandemic, only video calls were previously allowed.
Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan met for about eighteen minutes in the presence of the prison authorities. They used the intercom in the meeting area of the prison to interact.
5. NCB TEAM VISITS MANNAT
A team of NCB officials visited the Khan family, Mannat, home in Bandra, Mumbai on Thursday.
The team sent a notice requesting that all of Aryan Khan’s electronic equipment be turned over to the investigative agency for investigation.
In addition, investigator Vishva Vijay Singh delivered a letter to Shah Rukh Khan’s manager, Pooja, with the list of documents required by the NCB. This includes educational documents, medical history, overseas travel expenses, bank account information, money transaction apps, and card details.
6. YOU’RE DOING GOOD JOB: SRK TO NCB
The NCB team that went to Shah Rukh Khan’s house on Thursday met the Bollywood superstar. According to sources, Shah Rukh Khan told NCB officials that they are doing a good job, but he hopes his son will be back from prison soon.
7th NCB TEAM VISITS ANANYA PANDAYS HOME
The NCB team visited Ananya Panday’s home around 12:30 p.m. They called her for interrogation and also confiscated her cell phone.
It is expected that data from her cell phone will be examined on Thursday and will be discussed in further questioning on Friday.
8. 2 OTHER ACTORS IN SCANNER: SOURCES
Ananya Panday isn’t the only one. According to NCB sources, two other actors are under the scanner based on WhatsApp chats recovered from Aryan Khan’s cell phone. We don’t yet know who they are.
9. NCB PERFORMS SEARCH IN 4 LOCATIONS
Between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, the NCB carried out searches in connection with the drug case on cruise ships at four other locations in Mumbai.
10. BOMBAY HC TO LISTEN TO ARYAN’S BAIL PLEA ON TUESDAY
After Aryan Khan’s bail application was denied by the NDPS Special Court on Tuesday, his lawyers moved the Bombay High Court.
Aryan Khan’s attorney Satish Maneshinde and his team reached the Bombay High Court on Thursday. The Bombay Supreme Court will hear Aryan Khan’s bail on Tuesday.
