T20 World Cup: Ruben Trumpelmann heroics help Namibia outwit Scotland in low-scoring thriller


Namibia beat Scotland with 4 wickets in their Super 12 game in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday and recorded their first victory in the main draw of a T20 World Cup.

Debutant Namibia made history on Wednesday when he claimed his first ICC T20 World Cup peloton win after beating Scotland with 4 wickets in a low-scoring Super 12 game in Abu Dhabi.

On the hunt for a win under par 110, the Namibians reached the finish line in the final with 5 balls to go, thanks to a crucial partnership between JJ Smit and David Wiese for the fifth wicket at the Zyed International Stadium.

Smit went undefeated at 32 and finished the game on a six, while Wiese scored 16 on her 35-run stand. Opener Craig Williams also contributed to the winners with 23 runs at the top.
