Captain Andie Balbirnie and Curtis Campher were the only two batsmen to get double digits, but none of the other batters made it through more than 9 deliveries as the lack of partnerships hurt their cause.

Hasaranga, who was named Player of the Match, also picked up a wicket for 12 runs of his 4 overs for the winners.

Josh Little (4/23) with the left arm decided on a bowl and got two wickets at the start to make Sri Lanka wiggle at 8 for 3, but Hasaranga (71) came under pressure with a classic punch to the the former to save masters.
Accompanied by opening player Pathum Nissanka (61), Hasaranga forged a great partnership of the century and added 123 runs when the opposing bowlers lost their strength after a dream start.
