As a rule, one does not expect to find lost valuables, especially if they are expensive items such as jewelry. However, one Surat family was fortunate to have got it back.
Two Kashmiri pony keepers – Rafiq and Affroz – who found jewelry from tourists in Pahalgam, traveled more than 70 km to Srinagar to return the valuables.
The family had misplaced the jewelry while riding the ponies from Rafiq and Affroz.
“Our taxi drivers, Tahir and Bilal, worked tirelessly and found the phone numbers of the two pony keepers. When we called them, the duo drove 70 kilometers from Pahalgam to Srinagar to return the valuables,” said the tourist.
The tourists thanked the duo for the honesty and thanked them.
