In the wake of the discovery of a new variant of Covid-19, the government of Maharashtra has warned citizens of penalties for non-compliance with Covid-appropriate behavior.
The state government stated in an order dated November 27th that Maharashtra was registering fewer Covid cases and that the number of cases was declining.
According to the Maharashtra Government, all of these achievements are the result of discipline in compliance with various necessary restrictions on various activities by various institutions, as well as the discipline of Covid-just conduct of the majority of the public.
On Saturday, Maharashtra reported 889 new Covid-19 cases and 17 deaths, while Mumbai reported 214 new cases and four deaths.
What is Covid-appropriate behavior?
Always wear a mask correctly. A mask should cover the nose and mouth at all times (a handkerchief is not considered a mask and the person using it will be fined)
Maintain a social distance of at least 2 m at all times
Hands should be washed frequently and thoroughly with soap or disinfectant
Avoid touching your nose, eyes, or mouth
Maintain proper respiratory hygiene
Regularly clean and disinfect cleaned surfaces
If you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a handkerchief and dispose of used handkerchiefs; If a tissue is not available, cough and sneeze into a bent elbow instead of a hand
Do not spit in public places
Avoid crowds and keep a safe distance (6 feet) in public places
Greet everyone without physical contact
What are the penalties if the Covid rules are not followed?
A fine of Rs 500 will be imposed for any case of non-compliance with the code of conduct expected from Covid.
If the failure of a person is observed on the premises of an organization or establishment, who will serve its visitors, customers, etc.
If it turns out that an organization or facility is regularly defaulting in ensuring the Covid standards for its visitors, customers, that organization or facility will be closed until the reporting of Covid-19 as a disaster remains in effect.
If an organization or body fails to follow the appropriate conduct outlined by Covid or the SOP itself, it will be fined 50,000 rupees for each case.
If the fault is found in a taxi, private transport, four-wheeler or bus, along with the individual offending Covid norms, which will result in a fine of Rs 500.
In the case of buses, the owner’s transport company will be fined 10,000 rupees for each case of non-compliance.
As long as the Covid-19 disaster report is in effect, repeated failures will result in the owner agency’s license being withdrawn or operations being discontinued.
