TMC MPs asked Amit Shah to schedule an appointment to submit a report on the violence in Tripura but were turned down.

TMC MPs are holding a protest in front of the MHA on Monday.
The All India Trinamool Congress held a protest in front of the Home Office on Monday 22 November over alleged violence against its members in Tripura on Sunday.
The President of the Trinamool Youth Congress, Saayoni Ghosh was arrested on Sunday and charged with attempted murder by Tripura police. She is said to have tried to run over BJP employees at a public meeting. Local elections are scheduled for November 25th in Tripura. TMC sought an appointment with Home Secretary Amit Shah to submit a report. However, they were denied one.
Speaking to India Today, TMC Lok Sabha MP Kalyan Banerjee said, “We have called the Home Secretary’s office repeatedly to make an appointment, but have not received any. For this reason we decided to hold a protest outside the MHA. “

Previously the Chairman of the Trinamool Congress and Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien asked for the intervention of the Union Interior Minister Amit Shah about the alleged attacks on its members.
To express their protest, the TMC leaders sang songs like “We will overcome” and called out slogans against the BJP because of the incident.
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is expected to arrive in Delhi on Monday for a three-day tour and is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
