Farmers protesting the three agriculture laws on the Singhu border near Delhi said they would not leave the protest venue until the legislative repeal process begins in parliament.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Friday that the central government would withdraw the three farm laws and urged protesting farmers to return to their families. However, farmers camping on the Singhu border near Delhi said they will not leave the protest site until the legislative repeal process begins in parliament.
“Farmers will not leave until the process to repeal the three agricultural laws begins during the parliamentary session (which begins this month),” sources on the Singhu border told India Today TV.
After more than a year of emotion the center will finally repeal the three controversial laws passed in parliament last September.
In his address to the nation, Prime Minister Modi apologized and said the government had failed to convince some of the farmers of the farm laws.
“I apologize to India and with a true and pure heart that may be … we couldn’t convince the farmers [over the farm laws]. I am here to explain that we have decided to repeal the three agricultural laws … We will complete all the paperwork during the parliamentary session that begins this month, ”Prime Minister Modi said in his address to the nation on Friday.
He also urged farmers to “return home to their families and start over”.
Parliament passed the three agricultural laws in September last year. They had first appeared as the three ordinances in June before being approved by Parliament during the monsoons session
