Good work, dear friend…: Sameer Wankhede hits back at Malik after sister-in-law charge


Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik has alleged that Sameer Wankhede’s sister-in-law, Harshada Dinanath Redkar, is involved in the drug business.

The zone director of NCB Mumbai, Sameer Wankhede, hit after the The minister of Maharashtra claimed that his sister-in-law was in the drug business.

“Nice work, dear friend, in spreading a woman’s name. In fact, we don’t give out women’s names in a press release to protect their dignity, ”said Sameer Wankhede.

Earlier in the day, Nawab Malik shared “evidence” showing that Harshada Dinanath Redkar was listed as a “defendant and attorney” in a 2008 case registered under the Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Prevention of Illicit Trafficking Act .

“Sameer Dawood Wankhede, is your sister-in-law Harshada Dinanath Redkar involved in the drug business? You have to answer because her case is pending in the Pune court,” tweeted Nawab Malik.

Sameer Wankhede said he hadn’t even been on duty when the case happened in January 2008. The NCB official said he married Kranti Redkar in 2017.

Nawab Malik has repeatedly labeled the drug raid on cruise ships in Mumbai that arrested Aryan Khan as “forgery” and made a number of allegations against Wankhede, including illegally wiretapping phones and using forged documents to secure his job.

Last week, Sameer Wankhede was pulled out of the cruise drug case. The case was forwarded from the Mumbai NCB zone unit to an SIT team led by IPS officer Sanjay Singh.
