Delhi Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal said Sunday he was visiting temples because he was a Hindu and no one should object.

As political opponents raise allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which indulge in the “soft Hindutva”, AAP Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi, said on Sunday that he visits temples because he is Hindu and no one objects to it should.
Arvind Kejriwal, who was on a two-day visit to survey-bound Goa, responded to an inquiry whether he was indulging in “soft Hindutva” by visiting temples.
“Aren’t you going to the temple? There is nothing wrong with going to temples … I’m a Hindu, I’m going to the Ram Temple, the Hanuman Temple … why should anyone have any problems with this? … Why do you accuse me? people say, “ANI quoted Arvind Kejriwal as saying.
When asked about Goa Prime Minister Pramod Sawant’s testimony that the AAP was copying his government’s plans, such as sponsoring pilgrimages, Arvind Kejriwal claimed that Sawant had in fact copied his party.
“I want to say that Pramod Sawant is imitating us. When I said that we would give electricity for free, he gave water for free scheme, ”PTI quoted Kejriwal as saying.
Arvind Kejriwal had promised on November 1st free pilgrimage to various religious centersincluding the Temple of Ram in Ayodhya if his party is elected to power in Goa.
Last month, Arvind Kejriwal and his party leaders visited the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya and prayed.
During his visit, Arvind Kejriwal met members of the Bhandari community and also brought the union and mining leader Puti Gaonkar into the party.
