The Kashmiri ski racer Arif Khan has qualified for the upcoming Olympic Winter Games in Beijing in 2022. Arif secured his spot in the games during Saturday’s Dubai qualifying event.
The 30-year-old, who comes from the Hajibal Tanmarg area, has represented the country four times at the world championships.
Advisor to Lieutenant Governor Farooq Khan congratulated Arif Khan, Sports Council and Sports Department for Youth Services, on this achievement and hoped that his achievement will be medal wins at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
He also said that the creation of a world-class sports infrastructure with training and coaching facilities has started showing results and more and more players are being selected for national and international sporting events.
The 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing will take place from February 4th to 20th.

Farooq Khan also used social media to celebrate Arif’s achievement and wished him all the best for the future.
