PM Modi says farm laws to be repealed, apologises; Opposition links it to elections | All that happened

Prime Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath welcomed PM Modi’s decision repeal the three agricultural laws while expressing regret that the farmers could not be persuaded despite the government’s best efforts.

What next?

According to PM Modi’s address, the three bills will be formally repealed during the winter session of Parliament, which begins on November 29th. The monsoons session of Parliament was marred by continued opposition disruption over agricultural laws both inside and outside Parliament.

On Saturday, 32 peasant organizations from Punjab will meet to discuss their future course of action and position on the MSP.

In the meantime, the decision-making body of the Samyukta Kisan Morcha is scheduled to meet on November 21. The final call for agitation and demands related to MSP will be discussed at that meeting, sources told India Today.
