The Prime Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, on Monday hardened his stance against a relaxation of the law prohibiting visitors to the arid state.

He made the bold statement in support of the Prohibition Law when speaking to a meeting in Sasaram Monday.

“Some people say that people who visit the state allow them to take something, but is that possible? Will we allow them to drink alcohol? Do you allow people from other countries to drink alcohol? Do not come to Bihar. If you drink alcohol and you have problems with drinking alcohol in Bihar, then do not come to Bihar. There is no need to come to Bihar, ”said Nitish Kumar.

Nitish Kumar reiterated that easing the ban on visitors from outside was out of the question. The prime minister claimed his decision to impose a ban had been widely admired.

The CM said that no matter how educated and knowledgeable a person is, if they drink alcohol, those people will not be considered capable. “Such people are not capable and are against Mahatma Gandhi, against society,” he said.

The event was part of the social reform campaign launched by Nitish Kumar.
