The Indian-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has issued a memorandum warning security officials to keep their distance from a Delhi-based lawyer. The woman has reportedly used her relationship with officials to solicit personal favors and obtain sensitive information.
The ITBP said, “The (attorney’s) activities are against the national interest. She was reported to have shown (name withheld) an interest in liaising with Indian Army officers and CAPFs. She uses her relationships with these officials to solicit personal favors such as transfers and the collection of sensitive information from prominent government officials. “
The accessed memorandum from India Today stated: “She has established close ties with both retired and active officials from various government departments, as well as the CRPF, ITBP, JKP and the Delhi Police she later uses to do her job complete.”
“The armed forces should make the ranks and files aware of the lady’s indulgence for undesirable activities that harm the security interests of the country and the troops,” said the ITBP, adding, “This can also ensure that advocates of the ITBP sites enter is locked.”
The woman is said to have been under the secret service’s scanner for several months. High-ranking officials have allegedly put their behavior to the test and labeled it “suspicious”. She reportedly spent several days in a row in sensitive locations such as Jammu and Kashmir, which alerted security authorities.
“It could be a potential threat. Your advances to top officials are tantamount to a security threat, ”said the ITBP.
An official alleged that one of the top ITBP officials took her to Amarnath Yatra this year, although the “pilgrimage” was suspended for the second year in a row.
Another senior official said, “Yes, she approached me through a well-known senior official. But no improper favor was solicited or granted, but their behavior was a little off the beaten track. “
In the past year, the women’s advocate is said to have traveled extensively to Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and even to the electoral states such as Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
The written notice also mentions that the woman posed as a judge at Tis Hazari Court.
MODUS OPERANDI THE WOMAN
The ITBP notice warns of the woman’s modus operandi and states that the woman is trapping officials to steal information and personal favors.
“It is known by honey trap officials and later uses it to do their job. Depending on the nature of the relationships she has with an officer, she may ask for information, personal favors, contact details of prominent government officials, and help with relocating and deploying CAPF personnel, ”warns the memorandum.
Another ITBP official said: “She would visit the ITBP like several visitors, but the” intelligence input “seems strange. We have never seen such communication before. It seems that too much is being read into it. “
The notice marked the woman as “suspicious”, said the attorney was interested in interacting with influential people and was keen to receive news relating to the J&K transfer of senior CAPF officials and her “personal life” Links.
She has reportedly shown an interest in establishing similar ties in the Indian army, preferably in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi.
