Suman Tur, the woman who claims to be the sister of Navjot Singh Sidhu, has released pictures of the Punjab Congress leader with her family.
A Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Suman Tur (70) held a press conference in Chandigarh on Friday where she told reporters that she is the sister of cricketer and politician Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Tur further claimed that Sidhu left her and her mother in 1986 after her father’s death. My mother died penniless at a train station in 1989, Suman Tur claimed.

“I was forced to speak at a press conference after attempts to contact Navjot Singh Sidhu failed. He blocked me on his phone. Nor do his servants open doors. I want justice for my mother,” she said.

Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife responds to the claims Navyot Kaur Sidhu told ANI news agency she had never heard of Tur, who lives in the US. “I do not know you. His (Navjot Singh Sidhus) father had two daughters with his first wife. I don’t know them,” said Navjot Kaur Sidhu.
Tur’s allegations against Navjot Singh Sidhu come at a time when the Punjab Congress leader is busy campaigning ahead of the February 20 election.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Guide Bikram Singh Majithia, who faces Sidhu from Amritsar East, also responded to the controversy.

“His [Sidhu’s’] Sister held a press conference today. I am ashamed to hear what she said about Navjot Sidhu. A person who cannot be good to their family cannot be good to anyone,” Majithia said.
Union Minister and BJP leader Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also responded to Sumarn Tur’s claims. “A man who cannot be faithful to his mother and sister, how can he be faithful to the nation?” Shekhawat asked.
