Ukrainian actor Pasha Lee, who joined the armed forces to defend his country against the Russian war, was killed in shelling in Irpin at the age of 33. His last post on Instagram before his death read, “For the last 48 hours there is an opportunity to sit down and take a picture of how we are being bombed, and we are smiling because we will manage.”
Last month, after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Crimea-born actor joined the country’s Territorial Defense Force to fight against the Russian forces.
President of Ukraine’s National Union of Journalists, Sergiy Tomilenko, and the Odessa International Film Festival confirmed the news of his death.
