Speaking on the Goa polls, TMC supremo and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday that her party could have done better in the coastal state if they had had more time.

Ahead of the Goa Assembly election results which will be declared on March 10, All India Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday that her party could have done better in the coastal state if it had had more time.
“I am happy that we were able to reach out to every family in Goa with our logo. We really started late. Had we got more time, we could have done better,” she said.
as per exit polls, the results of which were released on Monday evening, the TMC alliance is likely to win between two and five seats out of 40 in Goa.
The Goa election was held on February 14 in a single phase. The TMC made its debut in Goa with this election.
Mamata Banerjee added on Tuesday that some people had claimed they would “create a storm” in West Bengal after winning the recently held Uttar Pradesh election. On this, she said, “We are not scared.”
TMC’s FUTURE PLANS
Speaking on the party’s plans for the future, Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday that Bengal “will show the path for the 2024 fight”. She added, “We have to strengthen ourselves in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Tripura and other parts of the country. TMC leaders will have to travel to these parts.”
The next Lok Sabha election will be held in 2024. On the ruling party at the Centre, Mamata Banerjee said, “The BJP is trying to create ruckus of democracy. There is currently no alternative in Delhi, which is why they are staying.”
Meanwhile, the TMC will celebrate the first anniversary of its victory in the West Bengal Assembly election of 2021 from May 5 onwards, she said.
