NCP leader Nawab Malik, who was arrested on Wednesday in a money laundering case, has been admitted to Mumbai’s JJ Hospital, sources in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) told India Today.
Sources said that the NCP leader was admitted to the hospital as per the doctor’s advice. There is no official confirmation of the development.
Nawab Malik’s daughter, Sana Khan, informed the party workers that her father has been hospitalised. She said that Malik suffered from stomach aches.
The NCP leader’s office also tweeted that he was being treated for medical ailments at JJ Hospital.

Nawab Malik, who is in ED custody till March 3, was taken to the hospital on Friday morning for a routine check-up. However, the doctors said that he would need to be admitted, the sources said.
A minister in the Maha Aghadi government, Nawab Malik, was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case and “active involvement in terror funding”.
